Two years ago, the Sick Day 110 won Skiing Magazine’s Ski of the Year and made the cover of their annual gear guide. It was one of the biggest skis ever to win an overall category, and it probably had the goofiest graphics of ANY ski in the past few years. We then realized that a ski didn’t necessarily need three sheets of titanium, plain red and black graphics, and edge-hold like Bode Miller’s Super G swords to win awards anymore. It was possible to make a mid-wide ski remarkably versatile and fun at the same time.
This year, the fellas at Line Skis expanded upon a new line called the Supernatural that is taking the testers by storm. The Supernatural Series features a smoother yet stronger ride compared to the Sick Day thanks to a Metal Matrix construction and Shockwall Sidewalls. They also expanded the Sick Day lineup by adding a women’s specific version and a 102mm-waisted version. Finally, the famous Sir Francis Bacon is newly redesigned for 2016! The Bacon uses a new wood formula called Cloud Core, which we discovered to be amazingly light yet poppy during testing. Check out all three lines here first!
