Fall Flannel & More with Patagonia

The dog days of summer are (almost) over, and that means back to school, last-minute summer getaways, and the anticipation of autumn weather.  We needed more solid casual options at the shop, so we decided to expand our collection of fall Patagonia.   In this shipment, we got a few classic Patagonia pieces you know and love as well as some newly revamped jackets.

The classic Synchilla Snap-T Collection is back with new colors and patterns.  It now features a lightweight option and is made from a minimum of 80% recycled polyester.  This double-sided fleece is a good insulator in mild conditions, can block a light breeze, and is cozy and stylish.

The Retool Snap-T is also available for ladies and features the plush Polartec Thermal Pro polyester fleece.  This style fleece uses longer fibers for even better insulating properties and a softer feel, although it’s less wind-resistant than the Synchilla.

Patagonia’s best flannel and layering piece are also back in new colors and patterns.  The Fjord flannel for men and women is a best seller and a piece that never goes out of style.  The organic cotton construction makes it the most comfortable flannel you’ll ever own, and the fit is excellent.

The R1 is THE layer of choice for the staff as well as for countless cold-weather pros.  Layer it with Capeline or Merino underneath and you’ve got the best baselayer/midlayer combination on the planet.  The R1 uses Polartec Powergrid polyester and has specially designed seams to provide amazing stretch without fabric deterioration unlike other stretch fabrics like Lycra, Spandex, or Elastine.  It also has incredible insulation properties despite its weight and packability.

Lastly, the Nano Puff Jacket for men and women is redesigned this year with the new Primaloft Gold Eco insulation and updated fit and stitching.  Wear it solo or put it under a shell, the Nano Puff is one of the most versatile,  warmest, and thinnest piece of insulation ever made.  Amazingly, the Primaloft Gold Eco is using even more recycled material (up to 55%) while maintaining 100% of its performance, loft, and durability.
